Trying to get a building permit for new home? New construction on the Sunshine Coast requires up to three Step Code energy reports:

Pre-Construction Compliance Report (required for your permit application)

If you submit your permit before May 1st, 2023, you are only required to meet Step 1 of BC Energy Step Code, which is equivalent to the 2018 BC Building Code.
